I love blogs. I often refer to you as my bloggy friends...my posse...my loyal subjects :)
Naaaa, I really do love you all. And sometimes, it seems like you all are better friends, more reliable, more supportive friends, than the ones I have in real life. Really.
- I'd love nothing more than to go have a hit of Crown with Whiskey Girl....
- go have a drink at Bar with Samsmama...
- hang out anywhere with Bev and Mala...
- go for a bike ride with Frank (actually, I think we should get a tandem bike and that way I can put my feet up in back and just watch the scenery)...
- play movie trivia with Elliott...
- go shoot some fun photos with StaciesMadness...
- have drinks and make fun of people with Calico...
- go hiking in the mountains with MtnMama,...
- and last but not least, have some tacos and wine with Anonymous :)
Maybe I'd even find Garitto during these many excursions! You never can tell...I'm sure I'm missing someone...or many ones...and I'm sorry. I lurve you all :)
Anyway, while I'm just a giant whore for you all, there are a couple of blogs that I read that, well, I don't like much anymore. I still read them, but I never comment anymore. Never.
Its funny b/c the two blogs are totally different. They have a very different vibe and yet, I don't comment anymore for the very same reason.
They are both assholes.
Make an innocent comment on one? Get some nasty fucking defensive reply in return. Oh really? When you're a self righteous bitch who hides behind her uninformed opinions and neglects to realize that, in fact, the world does not revolve around her, she gets defensive. Karma's a bitch.
Get over yourself.
Another blogger asks repeatedly for advice on everything from work, to family, to child rearing to aging parents to weight loss? So you give it? Your opinion that is...and then she cries about how everyone thinks she does everything wrong.
Well I've got news for her- she IS wrong.
Keep in mind, that if I have a negative comment to make- I keep it to myself. Honest. I really do believe if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all...except to your very good friends who you can trust enough to gossip with :)
So it might seem like I make nasty, rude, judgmental comments and I get what I deserve...I don't think so. I just find that every once in awhile, these two blog in particular get to me.
I don't think any of you read these two blogs (I've never seen any of comment) and no- I'm not going to tell you who they are...
But if we ever all get together for drinks sometime, pull your chair up close...I have a lot to say :)

Whew... you had me worried there for a sec when you were singling out those blogs which try your patience.
Glad you didnt mention me...LOL
I do know what you mean though about osme blogs/bloggers being just too needy or having such a bipolar sort of personality. Wanting the acceptance from the anonymous masses, yet getting pissy and indignent when some constructive critcism is given. Makes you want to scream, "If you cant take the heat, get out of the kitchen, dumbass".
ROCKMAN!!!! So sorry I forgot to mention you! smooches, love you :)
Actually, I thought about respondingto everyone's comment with, "fuck you, you hurt my feelings, I'm right you're wrong"...or something to that affect :)
MARY! You are so, so, sooooo invited to any and all of our excursions. I think I can speak for Mala on that one. You're SO in.
You're definitely an awesome bloggy friend, and I'd love to meet up IRL one of these days. I'm totally serious about having a blogger meet & greet! Did someone say Mile High Blogger Convention 2010? Oh yeah, I did. Not letting that go... I'm like a dog w/ a bone. :D
Both of those two blogs sound ditch-worthy. I have found myself continuing to read blogs that I don't care for, as if it's an obligation instead of a hobby. It's hard, but hey... assholes are just assholes, online and IRL. Gotta cut 'em loose.
Huh, Mary, you read my Aunt's blog? I didn't know she had one!
Put your feet up on the back of the tandem, eh? You wouldn't be the first. (Skip down to "McDonald Observatory" if you want to get to the good stuff.)
Now stalking.
Mary,
Thats ok that your didnt remember me. I am new to the bloggy world and am easy to miss....LOL
Regarding your comeback to all commentors. Hey sounds good to me. Joke'em if they can't take a fuck....
Dude, I would totally love to get drinks and make fun of those two bloggers. :)
But seriously, it's a shame they have to be so defensive when they are clearly asking for advice. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
May I just say thank you so much for including me (on the plus side)!
I would LOVE to take you to all/any of my favorite spots; you strike me as excellent company.
And isn't that what we are stribing for? I don't get the negative ragging - I want to extend my reach across the miles to find like minded friends. People who make me think, make me laugh, make me feel like I'm not alone, and who offer sometimes a more open perspective on the day to day stuff we all deal with.
I do feel like my bloggy buddies are "real" friends... and I am truly happy to meet up with people that I've already given so much of my time and attention.
and Bev, dear, I think we need to agree on the name prior to having the tshirts printed :)
Yes, YES! of course!! I'd love to hang with you!
Bev, get crackin'! I'll co-chair!
And when you said, "put my feet up in back and just watch the scenery" I laughed. hard. Frank in his uber-tight biking shorts...
And where the hell is Garrito? Did his bride throw him overboard on his honeymoon????
um, it's striving. for excellent company. good grief, I can't type with my contacts in!
Hah, Mala! I didn't catch that....
Oh holy hell..I have been laughing for like 15 minutes! You all rock. I don;t know who I'm kidding- you're all my real friends. I'm happy to know you all and I can't wait for drunkfest '10!!! Let us know when/where to meet up Bevvers!
Two specific comments to respond to:
1) I honestly wasn;t talking about Frank's ass when I said scenery...although now that you mention it...
2)MntMama, I can;t type in my damn contacts either!!! Glad to know someone with my malady (and possibly the need for bifocals)
Smooches to you all...I love you and can;t wait to drink copious amounts of liquor with you.
Cheers!
Surely I can find someplace classier than "Bar" to take you to. Maybe there's some hole I'm unaware of called "The". Details, shmetails, we'll work it out.
There's several blogs I've quit reading for similar reasons. But there's a few I'd like to visit but I always seem to lose my internet connection when I go there.
So we've gone from calling it "Blog Fest" to "Drunk Fest"? I'm so glad we're all being honest with ourselves.
Much love, Mary Moon!
I, too, have grown tired of a couple of blogs and found that I am reading out of obligation.
I don't know why anyone would solicit advice and then get upset by it. I'm sorry to hear that you are dealing with people like that.
I love the friends that I have made through blogging and would love to meet most of them IRL.
Great post Mary.
Stalking
wow. i'm an asshole! but you knew that already. i'm sorry i haven't been around much, mary. and then you go and mention me BY NAME (kinda) with the wine and taco thing and i don't even acknowledge it. *hangs head*
most blogs suck. seriously. but there is a very small group out there who "get it".
i'd love to make my famous Anonymous Family tacos and drink some wine with you some day. shit, i'd just like to meet you! and did Bev say something about mile high? i'm going to be in denver over christmas this year. who's game?! ;)
wv = chrit. christ without the sauce.
